October Class: 3D interactive Album

Posted by Sonia Hocking on

Hello All

This month we will be creating a wonderful 3D Flip-fold interactive album.  Many of you may have seen similar albums in some shape or form.  These albums are great fun to put together and decorate.  They fit loads of photos and memorabilia and make a beautiful keepsake for yourself or for someone dear to you.

We will be using a Heartfelt Creations album as a base and a pack of flip-fold inserts as this saves a huge amount of time, measuring and stress and the finished product comes together so much easier.  We will be decorating it with Graphic 45 papers from the Artisan Style Collection as well as coordinating papers and card-stock from Kaisercraft.

Creating an album like this takes more than three to four hours so we will be focussing on three things;

learning how to use and attach the inserts and how best to use magnets as closures

creating four pages within our album

decorate the front and back covers.

While there will not be enough time to complete the entire album you will receive instructions and materials to compete the rest yourself.  You will receive an enormous kit full which will include the album. a pack of inserts, 6 sheets of Graphic 45 paper, a coordinating Graphic 45 sticker sheet, 9 sheets of coordinating paper, loads of card-stock, flowers,die cuts metal embellishments including brass corners, 10 extra-strong magnets, timber embellishments and the instructions for each page.

Classes will be held on Thursday 6th October, 7-10:30-ish and again on Saturday 8th October 1-5pm.   As there is so much included in this kit the cost of the class will be $85.  I have limited numbers of the albums and inserts so please let me know ASAP if you wish to attend one of the classes.

You will require a personal trimmer, scoring tools/ board, scissors, ruler, pencil, black ink and sponging tool, strong tape in several widths, glue-normal and fine applicator, glossy accent glue or similar strong glue to adhere the magnets and foam mount.  You will also need 6 pieces of silicon paper (baking paper), 4-6 small bulldog clips and 14 large zip-lock bags or freezer bags.

Below are the pages we will be working on
